Electrical Engineer (Contractor)
📍 Copenhagen (preferred) | 6-month contract | Full-time
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Contractor) to support the development of advanced offshore charging and power solutions. This is a 6-month contract position based in Copenhagen, with some flexibility for hybrid work.
You will join a technically strong engineering environment working across all project phases – from tender support and studies to detailed design and validation.
The Role
You will support the Electrical Engineering Manager and contribute to:
-Preparation and review of electrical engineering deliverables
-Development of offshore HV/MV/LV electrical solutions (transformers, switchgear, converters, cabling systems)
-Technical coordination with suppliers and subcontractors
-Ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE, DNV and relevant national standards
-Technical input to budgets, risk assessments and feasibility studies
-Supporting verification and validation activities
-Monitoring supplier progress and documentation
-Promoting strong safety standards and engineering best practice
-The role includes collaboration with suppliers, classification societies and internal stakeholders.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with:
-5+ years of experience within power systems, marine/offshore electrical systems, or industrial HV/MV/LV installations
-Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE, DNV and related standards
-Practical experience with transformers, switchgear, converters and power cabling
-Experience working with suppliers and technical documentation review
-Professional English skills (spoken and written)
Experience with vessel electrical systems, offshore power cabling or classification societies is considered an advantage.
Practical Information
Location: Copenhagen (preferred).
Hybrid setup if based in Copenhagen
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Contract duration: 6 months with potential extension.
Travel: Occasional travel within DK/UK/EU (up to approx. 30 days/year)
