The job
Maersk Oil Trading (MOT) is responsible for supplying fuel to the Maersk fleet and plays a key role in the cost saving and optimization efforts of Maersk operations worldwide. Maersk Oil Trading is focused on innovation and setting new industry standards and we are committed to helping Maersk deliver on their decarbonization targets, which will benefit both Maersk customers and society.
As part of the Settlements team in Maersk Oil Trading, you will be working in a diverse and challenging environment, characterized by a very fast pace which is both performance and results driven. You will interact with colleagues across the globe and across functions and will have a key role in supporting and enabling our daily settlements operations, our ongoing initiatives related to process automation, as well as take part in delivering a variety of strategic and regulatory projects.
Below are some of the key tasks we expect you and your team will drive and be focused on:
- Processing miscellaneous invoices related to fuel delivery
- Being responsible for keeping our vessel master data updated
- Ensure best industry practices are applied and processes are set-up and documented accordingly
- Investigating discrepancies between invoices and orders
- Support with various tasks during closing period
- Assisting in handling our share mailbox and answering inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
- Taking care of other ad-hoc tasks in the settlements team
About you
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 1-3 years of experience with processing financial transactions, doing AP/AR accounting or any other back-office experience from the energy sector, bank, trading or shipping industry.
We believe you will thrive in the role if you recognize yourself in below description:
- Experience within financial tasks
- Analytical mindset and ability to work with substantial amounts of data and complex tasks
- Strong communication skills and capable of engaging with stakeholders and colleagues across the organization
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with different teams within MOT
- Have attention to detail and are consistent, accurate, and thorough when completing tasks
- An energetic, dedicated team player with great interpersonal skills
- Comfortable and easily able to adapt to changes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- User of one of mentioned system: FPMS, Shiptech, Unit4, SAP or Allegro
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel
The practical
Start: ASAP and 26th of September at the latest
Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension or permanent contract
Work address: Esplanaden 50, 1263 København K
Work hours: Full time with the possibility of home office up to 2 days a week
