Financial Controller - Maersk, Copenhagen

The job:

As a Financial Controller it is important that you are able to communicate with different stakeholders and that you can work under pressure in certain periods e.g. when closing the month. Therefor it is also essential that you are able to prioritize between tasks.
Furthermore, it is important that you are technically good in understanding Danish tax and regulations. This includes experience with transfere pricing, payroll taxes, VAT, corporate income tax etc.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist setting up accounting structure
  • Day to day accounting and reporting
  • Tax filing
  • Preparation of ad hoc financial reports
  • Follow up on Actual vs. Budget


About you:
Whether you are an Accountant who are ready for a step up in your career, or whether you are already experienced in your role as a Financial Controller with several years behind you, is not important. As long as you have a very good understanding of the Danish system of taxes and regulations.

Required: To apply for this position, you must be legally authorized to work in Denmark and already be living in the country.

We expect you to have 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in Denmark and a bachelor’s degree in e.g. finance/economics. It's an advantage if you have experience working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.

Furthermore, we expect that you:
  • are result-driven, strong logical & analytical
  • are well organized with attention to detail.
  • have experience with creating financial statements, and the month-end/year end close process
  • are skilled in written and spoken English


The practical:
Work location: A.P. Møller Mærsk, Esplanaden 50, 1098 København K
Start: As soon as possible, 6 months contract with the possibility of permanent employment hereafter
Work hours: Full time, distributed on weekdays within normal office hours
